Luca Ferrini | Pianist

LUCA FERRINI studied piano, harpsichord, organ, and organ composition, graduating with top honors from the Conservatories of Trieste and Udine. For more than thirty years, he has performed throughout Europe and other foreign countries (St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Beijing Concert Hall, Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Cankarjev dom and Slovenska Filharmonija in Ljubljana, Musikverein in Vienna, National Concert Hall in Dublin, National Theatre of Malta, Seoul National University, Odessa, Ulan Bator, Kaunas, Theatre St. Michel in Brussels, Teatro Accademico in Tirana, Prague, Budapest, Bucharest, Zagreb, Belgrade, Madrid, Porto, Copenhagen, Brisbane, Melbourne, Hobart, Buenos Aires, in Chile, etc.) with equal success on all three instruments, as a soloist, in chamber formations, and as a soloist with orchestras. He is a member of groups performing ancient and contemporary music (with more than one hundred and sixty premieres), and he has recorded for numerous European radio and television stations and forty CDs (as a pianist, harpsichordist, and organist). He is an official accompanist in seminars and summer academies, as well as in international musical interpretation competitions (Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Poland, Mexico, China). He has taught at the Conservatories of Brescia, Salerno, Klagenfurt, Ljubljana, and at the Academy of Ljubljana as an accompanist for instrumentalists. Currently, he is a professor of piano, harpsichord, chamber music, and accompanist at the Music High School of Koper and an accompanist at the Music Academy of Ljubljana.
